MURFREESBORO -- Harold G. Adams died Monday, Aug. 30, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 69. The Hixson, Tenn., native was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church and was retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served in Korea. He also was retired from Huddleston Oil Co. Survivors include his wife, Barbara McKown Adams; two sons, James R. Adams, Smithville, Tenn., and Thomas H. Adams, Murfreesboro; three daughters, Ann Hargrove and Patti Claiborne, both of Murfreesboro, and Amy Ward, Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Barbara Graves, Hixson; and five grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Dr. Tom Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday after 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
