Beloved husband of Anna Berg Knutsen; beloved father of Carl Knutsen, Albert Knutsen, Andrew Knutsen, John Knutsen, Olaf Knutsen, Donald E. Knutsen and step-son, Edward S. Bordsen. He traveled from Norway, through Canada, to his new home in Snohomish, Washington. He and his wife Anna homesteaded in the Snohomish area and raised seven sons. He worked on the green chain at the Seattle-Snohomish Mill for many years, until he retired at 80. He is remembered for his courage, strength and honor.
