The Toombs County native had lived in Mt. Vernon for a number of years, and attended the Glenwood Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her step-father, Gary Garnto in August of 2007, her mother, Cynthia D. Garnto in October of 2007, her paternal grandparents, Harvey Lee Adams Sr. and Bernice Mercer Adams, material step-grandfather, J.W. Myers.
Sylvia is survived by her father, Robert Adams of Mt. Vernon, two brothers, Harvey Lee Adams (Trey) of Mt. Vernon, Harper Wesley Ennis of Vidalia; grandparents, Vivian Myers of Mt. Vernon and Bobby Coleman of Ailey; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 10th at 2:00 p.m. from the Stewart Funeral Service, Vidalia Chapel with the Rev. W.R. Connell officiating. Interment will follow in the Nabb Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday November 9th from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.
