Below is a poem Tuttie wrote for the parents who lost children. Named "Please"

Don't ask me if I'm over it yet.
I'll never be "over" it.

Don't tell me my child is in a better place.
They aren't here.

Don't say "at least they are not suffering"
I haven't come to terms with why my child had to suffer at all.

Don't tell me you know how I feel, unless you have lost a child.

Don't tell me to get on with my life. I'm still here, you notice.

Don't ask me if I feel better. Bereavement isn't a condition that "clears up".

Don't tell me "God never makes mistakes".
You mean He did this on purpose?

Don't tell me "at least you had the child for an hour, weeks, years"
What time would you choose for your child to die?

Just let me talk if I want to
Just let me cry when I must
Just say you remember my child if you do
Just say - "I'm sorry"
Just say - "I care"
