Ethelene Pearl Boren Blackwell age 84, of Washington, IL, formerly of Cadiz, KY passed away at 7:00 am Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at her home in Washington, IL of natural causes. Services will be 1:00 pm Monday, March 7, 2011 at Maddux-Fuqua Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Hall officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 11:00 am til the time of the service on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Maddux-Fuqua Hinton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Blackwell was born on April 17, 1926 in Trigg County, KY the daughter of the late Carlton and Willie Allen Boren. She worked in the medical field as a nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Paul Blackwell; her son, Ricky Lewis Wells in 1986; her brothers, Hobert, Homer and Herbert Boren and a sister, Evelyn Johnson.

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Wells of Washington, IL and Johnny Wells of Princeton, KY; her daughters, Nancy Brown of Knoxville, TN, Brenda Voisinet of Bloomington, IL and Hazel Smith of Hopkinsville, KY; three step-sons, Leo Paul Blackwell, Jr., Daniel Blackwell and Lawrence Blackwell all of Elkton, KY; a sister Winnie Bryant of Huntsville, AL; thirteen grandchildren, Donna Poston, Robert Chavis, Denise DeRossi, Steve Brown, Gregory Taylor, Steven Voisinet, Kenneth Wells Jr., Christina Wells, Jerri Fowler, Wendy McDowell, Brandy Murray, Stacey Blackwell and Amber Harper; fifteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
