Funeral services for Willie Evelyn Johnson, 85, of Cadiz, were conducted on Sunday, December 17, 2006, at 2 p.m., at King's Funeral Home in Cadiz.

Rev. John Mitchell officiated at the services. Burial followed in Union Hill Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mrs. Johnson died on Thursday, December 14, 2006, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Cadiz, of natural causes.

Mrs. Johnson was born on March 21, 1921, in Stewart County, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Carlton and Willie Allen Boren.

Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker, and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Franklin Johnson; a son, W.C. Johnson; and three brothers, Hobert Boren, Herbert Boren, and Homer Boren.

Survivors include two sons, R.D. Johnson of Cadiz, and Darrell Johnson of Clarksville, Tenn.; three daughters, Christine Stoddard of Jepp, Ark., Marie Morris and Joyce Johnson, both of Cadiz; two sisters, Ethlene Blackwell of Peoria, Ill., and Winnie Bryant of Hopkinsville; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Clarissa King, pianist, provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were Steve Johnson, Tony Johnson, Timmy Johnson, Jack Boren, Herbert Lee Boren, Denny Lee Boren, and Bobby Boren.
