Paul Davis, 85, Clinton and formerly of Tipton, died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at his home in Clinton. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. Graveside services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery, Tipton. The family suggest contributions to Twin Lakes Hospice, Clinton, and may be left at the funeral home. He was born in Appleton City and had lived in Tipton before moving to Clinton two weeks ago. He was a mechanic for Hainen Ford in Tipton for 32 years before retiring in 1979. He was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving the Purple Heart. He is survived by one daughter, Darlene Houk and husband, Kenneth, Deepwater, and one son, Larry Paul Davis and wife, Roni, Appleton City, as well as 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
