KANSAS CITY TIMES APRIL 30, 1887 OBITUARY
A FATAL ACCIDENT

Milton Dipprey (Jr.), a 16 year old boy living at 1703 Wabash avenue, was thrown from a wagon yesterday morning at Twenty-first and Broadway and crushed beneath a piece of large timber which was also thrown out. The timber struck him on the jaw breaking the bone into several pieces and tearing the flesh from it. The patrol wagon was summoned and the unconscious boy was taken to the central station. Police Surgeon Wood examined him and ascertained that the injury was fatal, as the skull was fractured badly causing concussion of the brain and hemorrhage. The boy's father removed him to his home where he died at 11 a. m., attended by Dr J. G. B Ferguson.
