Mr. Barker was a veteran, having served in Panama during World War II, and was a member of the VFW Post 548, Morgantown. He was also a member of the Riverside Methodist Church, Morgantown.
He married Annabel Dewitt on 30 Aug 1947 in Morgantown. They had two sons.
He died in 26 Jan 1968 in his Morgantown home after a long illness. Mr. Barker was survived by his parents, his wife and sons and a sister, Jean Barker Carroll.
Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Prayer in the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. Interment was in the East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown.
