Anna Margretha Stumbaugh was born on 4 April 1787 in Shippensburg, Cumberland, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Jacob Stumbaugh (1752-1796) and Anna Gertraut Shoaf (1752-1790). She was christened on 27 May 1787 in Shippensburg, Cumberland, Pennsylvania at the Reformed Church of Shippensburg. She is the sister of Anna Elizabeth Stumbaugh, John Stumbaugh and Jacob Johannes Stumbaugh. Margaret married a Jacob Stumbaugh (who is thought to be of a different line of Stumbaugh's from Virginia ) about 1814 probably in Franklin Co. Pennsylvania. Margaret and Jacob had 7 known children all of whom were born in Franklin co. Pennsylvania; Mary, Phillip, Ruthanna, Henry, Sarah, Jane and Elizabeth. The Family move to Greer Ohio on about 1833. I can only assume that Margaret died after 1860 to 1870 and is buried in the Loudonville Cemetery with her husband Jacob .
