Henry Stumbaugh was born November 30th 1823, in Franklin County Pennsylvania and came to Greer, Ohio with his parents Jacob and Margart brother Philip, sisters Ruthanne, Elizabeth,Mary, Jane, Sarah at around 1833 at the age of ten years.

In March 1856 he was united in marriage with Miss Clarissa Smith. to this union were born six children, two of whom died in infancy. About two months ago the condition of Mr.Stumbaugh made it necessary for him to be removed to the state hospital at Columbus where he died on Wednesday, July 3rd, at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 3 days.

He leaves a wife, two sisters, three sons, one daughter, nineteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The remains were brought to Loudonville Friday evening and funeral services conducted by Rev. A. Katterjohn, were held in the Trinity Evangelical church Saturday afternoon at two o' clock. Interment in the Loudonville cemetery. From family news paper clipping unknown.
