Ted A. Elliott

He was born March 6, 1924, in Houston, to the late Ted Austin and Minnie Alice Branson Elliott. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired gang foreman for Sun Oil, a member of Disabled American Veterans, and a deacon of Union Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors: sons, John Lampman of San Antonio and Ted Allen Elliott of Sandia; sister, Marjoree Godbee; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: wife, Jewel J. Elliott; sister, Marion Pyatt; and one grandson.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, the Rev. Don Hessong officiating.

Burial will be at Nixon Cemetery. Finch Funeral Chapel, Nixon, 830-582-1521.

Memorials: Union Valley Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel J. Brown Elliott, on Aug. 13, 1997. Survivors include two sons, John Lampman of San Antonio and Ted Allen Elliott of Sandia; a sister, Marjoree Godbee; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Viewing and visitation will be held 5-7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 11, at Finch Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, at Finch Funeral Chapel-Nixon. Interment to following the Nixon Cemetery with the Rev. Don Hessong officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Valley Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
