Mrs. Dorothy Ruth (Ellis) Ilgen, 69, of 300 N. Park Blvd., died Tuesday evening at Freeport Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Golden Circle Sunday school class.
Born Jan. 6,1915, in Freeport, she was the daughter of John and Violet (Shue) Shamway. She married Ellis M. Ilgen in March 3, 1956, in Rockford. He died on Oct 30, 1969.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Judy (Charles) Burrington; one son, Jerry Janicke; one sister, Mrs. Harriet (Clarence) McLain; and one brother, Don Shamway, all of Freeport; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one grandson.
