Orville L. Campbell

Orville Leroy Campbell, the son of Earl and Doris (Barnhart) Campbell, was born November 3, 1932, in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. He attended school in Tarkio, MO. In November, 1955, Orville was united in marriage to Betty J. Slemp, and they became the parents of three children, Rose Ann, Joseph Lee and Bonny Lou. They later divorced. Orville was united in marriage to Doris Brammer-Archer on April 19, 1976, in Rock Port, MO. Doris passed away in 1995. In June, 1997, Orville married Nancy Cummings, and they later divorced.

Orville was a self-taught survivor, and was very successful. He was a "scrapper", collecting scrap metal from everywhere-along the roads, in the ditches and many more places. For a short time he was employed by Morris Hall at his salvage business in Tarkio.

In his spare time, Orville enjoyed fishing (all the time) and hunting. He also enjoyed dancing and "flirting with the women".

Besides his parents and wife, Doris, Orville was preceded in death by his son, Joseph and sister, Wanda. Survivors include daughters, Rose Ann Campbell of Pennsylvania, and Bonny Lou Campbell, Mitchell, Nebraska; three grandchildren, F. Jay Stuetelberg, April Sky Campbell and Misty Dawn Borkowski; four great-grandchildren, Desire`, Micah, Jayden and Jordan; sisters, Shirley, Chrissy and Beatrice; brother, Stan; cousin, Allen Slemp; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside Memorial Service and Inurnment:
10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2010, Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
There is no visitation.
