MARVIN J. ZOLK
Marvin J. Zolk, age 81, a resident of Laurel Grove, Manitowoc, died on Thursday
afternoon, May 8, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
He was born on March 11, 1927, in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Bessie
(Etersky) Zolk. On July 30, 1960, he married the former Almira Carstens at St.
John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. She preceded him in death on
Jan. 31, 2008. Marvin was employed with Mirro Aluminum Company for 32 years and
then at Piggly Wiggly, retiring after 17 years. He was a member of St. John
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Marvin enjoyed dining out with family
and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a sister: Bettie Gaedke and a sister-in-law and
her husband: Adeline and Edgar Beeck.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2008, at The Pfeffer
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Victor
Headrick, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
from 9 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2008, until the time of service at 10 a.m.
