ALMIRA B. ZOLK

Almira B. Zolk, age 87, a resident of Laurel Grove, Manitowoc, died on Thursday
morning, Jan. 31, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
She was born on April 24, 1920, in the town of Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of the
late Christian and Henrietta (Krueger) Carstens. Almira was an eighth grade
graduate of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Grade School in Newtonburg. On July
30, 1960, she married Marvin J. Zolk at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Almira was employed with Mirro Aluminum of Manitowoc for 33 years until her
retirement in 1983.

She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law: Adeline and Edgar Beeck;
and a sister-in-law: Bettie Gaedke.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at St. John's
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Officiating at the service will be the
Rev. Victor Headrick, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Newtonburg, from 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, until the time of
service at 11 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family
with funeral arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Newtonburg or
Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
