CHRISTINE ZIMMERMAN
Mrs. Christine Zimmerman, 80, of 823 N. 14th St., died Monday morning at the
Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 .m. Thursday at the Frazier Chapel in
Manitowoc. Services will be conducted by a Christian Scientist.
Mrs. Zimmerman was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Michelson. She
was born in Manitowoc in 1872, and attended public schools until she was 14,
when the family moved to Chicago.
She attended the Powers Secretarial School in Chicago, and then moved to Aurora,
Ill., where she was married, in 1908, to Jesse Zimmerman.
Shortly after the death of Mr. Zimmerman, Mrs. Zimmerman returned to Manitowoc,
in 1938, and had been living with a cousin, Mrs. Clarabell Ohler.
Surviving are a foster-daughter, Mrs. Pearl Dix of California; a daughter-in-law,
Mrs. Minnie Zimmerman of Seattle, Wash., and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Frazier Chapel after 3 p.m. Wednesday until time of
services.
