JOSEPH J. ZIMA

Joseph J. Zima, 53, former Manitowoc resident, died Monday afternoon at a Green
Bay Hospital following an illness of six months duration.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Findensen-Greiser Funeral Home,
Green Bay, and at 9:15 a.m. at St. Phillip Catholic Church in that city. The Rev.
Theodore Verbeeten will officiate and burial will be at 11 a.m. at Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Zima was born at Stangelville, son of Matt and the late Mrs. Matt Zima. He was
educated in Manitowoc schools and in 1936 married and the former Rose_____ at
Manitowoc. He was a carpenter and construction contractor. Since 1948 the family
had resided at Green Bay where Mr. Zima was a member of the Holy Name Society of
St. Phillip Church.
Surviving him are his wife, son, daughter (names omitted); father, Matt Zima of
Manitowoc; two brothers, Edward of Manitowoc and Carl of Mishicot; and a sister,
Mrs. Catherine Wirtz of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30
o'clock this Tuesday evening and at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
