Mrs. Rose C. Zima, 87, of 1686 9th Street, Green Bay, died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, September 27, at a Green Bay hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Agnes Church, Green Bay. The Rev. Richard Maufort will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Zima was born April 4, 1897, at School Hill, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Heinzen. She married Joseph Zima on February 15, 1936, at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death June 25, 1956. Prior to moving to Green Bay, Mrs. Zima was owner of a beauty shop in Manitowoc. Mrs. Zima was employed at Hills Beauty Salon, Merle Norman Cosmetics, Michaleen Beauty Salon and then operated Rose's Wig & Hair Styling Salon in Green Bay until 1975. She was a member of Daughter of Isabella Circle No. 574 of Green Bay, St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary and St. Agnes Church.
Survivors include a son and a daughter-in-law, James and Sharon Zima of Green Bay; a daughter and a son-in-law, Corrine and James Schweda of Krakow, Wisconsin; a brother, Edward Heinzen of Manitowoc; two sisters, Loretta Heinzen of Manitowoc and Mrs. Clarence (Irene) Klingeisen of Manitowoc; a special niece, Diana Detrie of Lena; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Timothy and Debra Zima, Barbara, Nancy, Christine and Susan Schweda. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Verona Gerharz and Helen Windus and four brothers, Norbert, Ted, Louis and Joseph.
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, Green Bay, 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday afternoon and prior to the funeral on Monday. Daughter of Isabella Rosary 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon and parish prayer service 8 o'clock Sunday.
