Leo L. Zigmund, 43, of 426 North Ninth street died this morning at the Wood
veterans hospital in Milwaukee. He had been a patient there three weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Urbanek and Schlei
funeral home and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic church, the Rev. John Landowski
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Friends may call at the
funeral home from Thursday noon until time of services.
Mr. Zigmund was born in Manitowoc in 1906 and in 1929 married Ann Hodas. He was
a pipefitter at the Manitowoc Shipbuilding company before entering the army in
World War II. He served overseas with the army air corps.
Survivors are his former wife, who is now Mrs. Ann Keefe; daughter, Gloria Ann
Zigmund; two brothers, Felix and Edmund of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Andrew
Dulak and Mrs. Matt Muchowski of Manitowoc.
The American Legion, Post No. 88 will conduct graveside services.
