Mrs. Walter (Bernice) Yonke, 51, of 1524 S. 16th St., Manitowoc died early Wednesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arthur C. Senn will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Yonke, nee Bernice Chapin, was born July 5, 1925, in Marathon County, Wis., daughter of Eugene Chapin and the late Anna Churchouse Chapin. She was educated in Marathon County schools. Mrs. Yonke and her family moved from Wausau to Manitowoc in 1958. She was married to Walter Yonke April 7, 1947, at Wausau. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Survivors, include her husband, a son, James, of Stevens Point, her father, Eugene Chapin, of Birnamwood, a brother, Bernard, of Birnamwood and a sister, Margery Chapin, of Birnamwood. Her mother preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and at the church from noon until the time of service. Memorials can be given to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
