Born in Sylva, NC to the late William Estes Smith and Sarah Elizabeth Dyer Smith, she was a retired employee of Clinchfield Mfg. Co. and a member of Marion Church of Christ.
She was the wife of the late Elbert W. Wilson.
A son of Macie and Elbert Wilson was Charles Edward Wilson.
Surviving are one son, Donald Wilson of N. Augusta, SC; two daughters, Frances Harris of Marion, Barbara Walker of Dearborn Heights, Michigan; one brother, Fred Ray Smith of Erwin, TN; two sisters, Edna Crowley of Marion, Ruth Sigmon of Nebo; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Sisters of Macie were Fannie Louise Smith Moody and Grace Alice Smith.
Burial was in McDowell Memorial Park.
