William J. Wiensch Sr., 47, of 310 N. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday
morning, April 9, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church Chapel,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Richard Lind will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Wiensch was born Jan. 11, 1933, at Wausau, son of the late David and Anna
Raasch Wiensch. He grew up and attended schools in Wausau and was graduated
from Wausau Sr. High School in 1951. Mr. Wiensch served in the United States
Army and married Carol Durkee July 30, 1966, at Manitowoc. He moved from Wausau
to Manitowoc in 1965, residing here since and was employed with Manitowoc Grey
Iron Foundry from 1965 to the present time. He was a member of First Lutheran
Church.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, four sons, David of Wausau and Leonard,
William Jr. and Timothy at home; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Cindy) Graebel
of Wausau and Melisa at home; four brothers, Herbert of Flagstaff, Ariz.,
Darold of Manitowoc, Gary of Great Falls, Mont., and Donald of Wausau; seven
sisters, Mrs. Norman (Shirley) Genrich, Mrs. Rondolph (Donna) Henkelman, Mrs.
Gordon (Carol) Bliss, Mrs. William (Gladys) Dietrich and Mrs. Lyle (Barbara)
Dietrich of Wausau, Mrs. Joseph (Sharon) O'Brien of Ishpeming, Mich., and Mrs.
Thomas (Sandra) Jalinski of Waunakee, Wis., aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Richard and James, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday and at the church chapel from noon Friday until the time of service.
