Darold "Pee Wee" Wiensch, born in Wausau but was a longtime Manitowoc resident, entered Gods' house unexpectedly on Saturday, June 18, 2022 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born May 2 1942, in Wausau, son of the late David and Anna (Raasch) Wiensch. He married the late Eleanor (Toby) Westberg and they later divorced. He then married Helen (Mohr) Wiensch in 1978; she survives him in death. Darold spent most of his career as a Foreman for the Foley company (later to become Mirro/Foley and Newell Rubbermaid) in Manitowoc. He spent his later years enjoying semi-retirement and working at Aurora Medical Center and Baycare Medical Center in various roles. He was President of Manitowoc Tavern League Softball for many years. He was also President of the Manitowoc Last Pocket Tavern Billiard league. He loved classic cars, flea markets, golf and other outdoor activities. Among his favorite pastimes he enjoyed playing softball, billiards, casino games, crosswords, fantasy sports, listening to and watching the Milwaukee Brewers and spending time with family and friends. Darold was a Denver Broncos fan as well as an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan. Survivors include, his wife Helen (Mohr) Wiensch; Manitowoc, five children; Lori (Dave) Schultz, Two Rivers; Bob (Carmen) Wiensch, Two Rivers; Terry (Kellie) Wiensch, Two Rivers; Tina (Craig) DeRosier, Two Rivers; Dean (Melodie) Wiensch, Valders; two brothers, Don (Mary) Wiensch, Wausau and Gary (Karen) Wiensch Florida, (Gary recently passed away on Friday 6/24/2022); four sisters, Barb Dietrich, Portage, Sandy (Tom) Jalinski, Maryland, Sharon O'Brien, Michigan and Gladys (William) Dietrich. Darold is also survived by many Brother-in-Laws, Sister-in-Laws, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Darold's sister, Carol passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022, one day before his passing. Besides his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Richard, James, William, Herbert, Shirley Genrich, Donna Henkelman and Carol Bliss. The family would also like to thank the staff at Aurora Medical Center Two Rivers and The Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care and thoughtfulness. The Pfeffer Family Funeral Home has assisted the family in their transition. Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life planned for a later date.
