Died
Whitney -- At the home of her parents near Cherokee, Kansas, April 11th, 1883, Minnie, daughter of Erwin and Charlotte Whitney, aged about 14 years.
He sickness at first was measles, which settled on her lungs and ran into pneumonia. She was buried yesterday in the Cherokee cemetery, Rev. Walker conducting the burial service at the grave. This affliction is the first of this nature that has been visited upon the family, we are told, of a family of ten children.
