Ethel E. Titera, age 89, of 1702 Cherry Road, Manitowoc, went to her heavenly home on Monday afternoon, April 16, 2012, at Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.

Ethel was born on December 3, 1922, in Engadine, MI, daughter of the late Alex and Augusta (Hildebrandt) Fandrick. She attended local schools and graduated from high school in Michigan. On September 6, 1942, she was married to Alvin J. Titera at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Engadine. Al preceded her in death on April 9, 2004. Ethel worked for J.C. Penney Company for 25 years in Manitowoc retiring in 1983. She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethany Ladies Aid, and J.C. Penney retirement club. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, playing cribbage and especially spending precious time with her family.

Survivors include one daughter and two sons-in-law: Janice "Sudsy" (Robert) Tomchek, Two Rivers; Joe Korlesky, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Jon (Jodi) Korlesky; Mark Tomchek and his special friend: Beth; Amy (Andy) Marks; Becky (Keith) Gilbert; Laura (Bob) Reeves; nine great grandchildren; Samantha Gilbert; Kailey Gilbert; Nicholas Meola; Justin Gilbert; Ryan Tomchek; Amanda Korlesky; Brooke Korlesky; Karlie Marks; Joey Marks; Briella Reeves; two sisters: Violet Schroeder, Engadine, MI; Lucille Adler, Newberry, MI.; one brother-in-law: Jack Elliott, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Alex and Augusta Fandrick; her husband: Alvin J. Titera; her daughter: Karen Korlesky; four brothers and five sisters-in-law: Alex (Wanda) Fandrick; Sigfred (Rita) Fandrick; Louis (Ellen) Fandrick; Arnold (Julia) Fandrick; Evelyn Elliott; three brother's-in-law: Alfred Schroeder; Walter Adler and Clarence Titera.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012, at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc. Rev. Waldemar Loescher and Rev. Stephen Melso will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold and Pfeffer Family Funeral home is serving the Titera family.
