My maternal great-great grandmother. First grave in Reed Cemetery. The land for Reed Cemetery was donated by her son, Rev.Parks Matherson Smith. Mary's husband George Washington Smith was postmaster at Reed and a farmer as well. He donated land for the Reed Missionary Baptist Church. The couple were first pioneers of Reed, Greer Co OK. This portrait hangs in the Old Greer County Museum as such.
