Vito Sciabica

March 6, 1925 -- April 14, 2004

Vito Sciabica, 79, of Modesto died Wednesday at Memorial Medical Center.

Mr. Sciabica was a native of San Francisco and lived in Modesto 72 years. He was an inspector for 45 years in food processing. He attended Empire schools and was a graduate of Modesto High School. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Central Valley Pars Plus Golf Group for 20 years. He enjoyed travel.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine Sciabica of Modesto; son, Vincent Sciabica of Modesto; brother, Joe Sciabica of Morgan Hill; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. The Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs in charge of arrangements.
