Josephine L. Sciabica, 82, of Modesto died Wednesday at Memorial Medical Center.
Mrs. Sciabica was a native of Detroit. She lived in Modesto 60 years and previously lived in New York City. She was a homemaker and was a dress designer and dressmaker. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, and enjoyed cooking, gardening and going to garage sales.
She is survived by her son, Vince A. Sciabica of Modesto. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vito Sciabica; a brother; and two sisters.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at the Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs.
