De Mille and appeared in over 40 feature films. His credits include "The Master Mind" (1914), "Ramona" (1916), "The Sleeping Lion" (1919), "Great Alone" (1922) and "The Jade Box" (1930). He died at age 59 in San Bernardio, California, from a fractured skull sustained in fall.
