Memorial Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 4, 1999, at
Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Robert Simensen
will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born February 27, 1910, at Newtonburg in Manitowoc County, son of
the late Carl and Mary Kieselhorst Roedig. He grew up and attended
school in the Newtonburg area. Adolph married Mildred A. Selch on
November 17, 1939, at Dubuque, Iowa. Adolph worked as a welder at the
Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company for 33 years. He also owned and operated
Roedig's Greenhouse and Bedding Plant Business. Adolph and Mildred
retired to Fort Myers, Fla., in November 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; two grandchildren, Andrew and his
wife, Bettina Roedig, Miami, Fla., Timothy Roedig, Puunene, Hawaii. Also
surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was
preceded in death by one son, Thomas Loren Roedig in 1985; and five
brothers.
