William A. Reinert, 84, of 1438 N. 10th St., Manitowoc, died early
Friday afternoon, May 5, 1989 at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral
services will be 9:30 am Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at
Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Presiding at the Mass of
Christian Burial will be Rev. Leo Schmitt and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Reinert was born May 18, 1904 at Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late
Michael and Mary Simmer Reinert. He resided in Manitowoc all his life
and attended Manitowoc Public Schools. He married Margaret MacKenzie,
September 26, 1929 at Melnik Presbyterian Church, Melnik. She preceded
him in death January 1, 1981. Prior to retiring in June of 1959, he was
employed as the Assistant city of Manitowoc Engineer since 1924. Mr.
Reinert was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles and was a life member
of Wisconsin Land Surveyers and Holy Innocents Catholic church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William T. and Phyllis
Reinert of Two Rivers; a daughter, Marilee Murphy of Marion, Indiana;
five grandchildren, Stephen Murphy of Orlando, Florida, Shannon Murphy
of Milwaukee, Scott Murphy of Oak Lawn, Illinois, Gary Reinert of
Milwaukee and Mrs. Tom (Ann) Duebner of Two Rivers; two sisters-in-law,
Kathryn Chermak of Manitowoc and Leona MacKenzie of Florida; a
brother-in-law, Lloyd Johnson of Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by
a son-in-law, Patrick Murphy; three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 pm to 8 pm this
Sunday, where a prayer service will be at 7:30 pm by Deacon Don Gigure.
