The funeral of Mrs. Millie Peed was conducted from the Methodist church at Stockwell at 10:30 this morning. Rev. O. P. Paxon officiated, with interment in the Stockwell cemetery. Mrs. Peed was the wife of William O. Peed and she died at her home in Stockwell Tuesday morning. Her death was caused by cancer and she had been ill for months. She was born March 11, 1866, and most of her life was spent in Stockwell. Mr. Peed was agent for the Big Four Railroad at Stockwell for a number of years and about ten years ago was placed in charge of the company's office at Thorntown. He retired a few months ago and returned to Stockwell. Mrs. Peed was a member of the Methodist church and was a woman of lofty character. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Harry and Clyde Peed, of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Walter Clawson, of Laporte. Her mother, Mrs Emma Kilgore, is also living.(Lafayette, Indiana newpaper, Thursday, December 12, 1912)
