Glasgow Republican Dec 15, 1955 Mr George Nuckols Dies at Home on South Green. Mr George Franklin NUCKOLS, one of Barren County's venerable citizens, succumbed at his home, 614 South Green Street Sunday morning after an illness of two months during which time he was under treatment in Samson Community Hospital. Mr Nuckols was a native of Barren County, a member of one of its old and distinguished families. He was a son of the late B K and Sallie Kincheloe Nuckols, and until ill health compelled his retirement was a characteristically hard-working farmer. He was held in high esteem by hundreds of intimate friends and was respected for his honesty and industry. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are his devoted wife, Mrs. Nevada Nuckols; three daughters, Mrs Harold (Blondell) Annett, Detroit; Mrs Virgil (Tommie) Taylor, and Mrs Richard L (Zeba) Garnett; and two sons, Gerald Kirksey and Lewis Allen Nuckols.
