A funeral service was held Wednesday, July 28, at Hamilton Funeral home in Des Moines for Earl L. Lehman, 66, of Winterset.

Born in Macksburg on July 3, 1916, he was the son of Frank and Georgia Haymond Lehman.

He was a veteran, serving in World War II. After the service, he worked for Armstrong Tire and Rubber, retiring in 1974.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Survivors include his wife, Murriel, two daughters, Donna Japhet of Des Moines and Marjorie Jones of Goleta, Calif.; two sons, Dale of Bixby, Arizona and Earl, Jr. of Des Moines; two brothers, Albert of Winterset and Earnest of Des Moines; 9 step-children; 9 grandchildren and 14 step-grandchildren.
