Mrs. Fred (Malvina) Kasten, 76, former Maribel area resident, died Tuesday afternoon, July 2, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m Friday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maribel. Rev. Arthur Callies will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Kasten was born November 7, 1908, at Kellnersville, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Cigler Salta. She married Tony Rott on November 8, 1930. He preceded her in death in 1949. She then married Fred Kasten on April 23, 1951. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1975.
Survivors include two step sons and a step daughter-in-law, Jerome Kasten of Manitowoc and Wallace and Marion Kasten of Route 3, Luxemburg; a step daughter and step son-in-law, Gladys and Dale Umnus of Manitowoc, ten step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a step grandchild.
Friends may call at Knutson Funeral Home, Denmark, after 4 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday morning at the church until the time of services.
