before he settled in Fannin County, in March 1837. He had come by ferry up Red River with his father, William Joseph Inglish, and several friends who were also looking for homesites. Inglish had filed for a homestead based on his claim under the Republic of Texas Laws. He was the first President of the Fannin County Land Board who accepted his claim. When Bailey Inglish died in 1867 he left 72 living grandchildren.

These we not all of his children he had more with my GGGG Grandmother Jane Sloan(Choctaw Indian)She died before he removed to Texas, My GGG Grandfather Levi English was their son , i have some info but cant find alot on her , any help i can get is welcome , and any i can give will be willing to do so
