John Brewer is the second oldest son of Captain John Brewer and Hannah Merriam, and one of 13 children born to the couple. He marries Anna Rising on February 27, 1750 in Sheffield, Berkshire Co., MA. John and Anna have three sons together, John, Nathaniel and short-lived Daniel (born Aug. 21, 1758, dying 1 month and 26 days later on Oct. 17, 1758). John Brewer dies at Lake George, on the battlefield, during the French and Indian Wars. He is age 34 at his death. He leaves a 27 year old widow and sons John who is 5, Nathaniel age 2, and the third infant son , Daniel, dies the same day he does.
