NORA YOHANEK

With her family of seven children under quarantine for scarlet fever at their
home on York Street, Mrs. Joseph(sic) Johanek succumbed at the hospital yesterday.
Mrs. Johanek, 33 years of age and a resident here for four years with her husband
and children, had undertaken the care of the family of seven when the home was
quarantined and one of the children was seriously ill and the task proved too great
for the weakened condition of the woman, who was later removed to the hospital.
The oldest of the seven children is but 12 years, the others ranging in ages to a
babe of a few days, whose birth hastened the demise of its mother. The father is
employed by the city as a street worker. Charitable organizations of the city are
caring for the family. A nurse has been provided at the home and everything possible
is being done for the quarantined children.
