Mother and Two Children Flu Victims
Mrs. J. Rieder passed away at her home at an early hour Monday morning after a short illness with flu-pneumonia. Her baby boy, Alfred Everet, aged about ten months, died a few hours later from the same disease. This is the third death in the Rieder family during the past few days, Bertha the oldest daughter aged six years passed away last Thursday after a short illness.
Delia Musgrove was born in Kansas, December 28, 1888(sic) and departed this life January 27, 1919, aged 31 years. She was united in marriage to J. Rieder at Monticello, Ia, Sept. 15th, 1910, and to this union were born six children, two of whom with the husband survive. Besides the husband and two children she leaves to mourn her death her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Musgrove; three sisters, Mrs. J Yohanek, Mrs. Fred Morarie and Mrs. Stella Hagerman; and three brothers, Chas. of Omaha, and Earl and Joe.
The little daughter, Bertha, was buried Friday. The funeral services for the mother and babe were held at the home Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Fort of Central City, officiating. Interment in the Coggon Cemetery.
