Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Lone Wolf Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Hilton, pastor First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by People's Co-operative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf.
Mrs. Wright was born Oct. 20, 1922, in Lone Wolf to LeVada Poe Clark and Arthur Clark and passed away July 19, 2007, in Amarillo at the age of 84 years, eight months and 29 days.
Lexie grew up in Lone Wolf and attended Lone Wolf schools. She married Ira Earl Wright in 1939 and the couple lived in California, Borger, Texas, and later Amarillo, Texas in the 1950's where they made their home and raised their family.
She worked as a cashier at the Piggly-Wiggly grocery for several years. She was a homemaker for her family and enjoyed gardening, taking care of her yard and being with her family and grandkids.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl, on July 14, 1986; two sons, Jerry Wright in 1979 and Gerald Wright in 1990; a grandson, Jimmy Braughton; two brothers; a son-in-law, James Braughton; and two sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Braughton, and Gloria Morgan, both of Amarillo; a sister, Juanita Parker of Kansas; two grandchildren, Dale Braughton of Clarendon, Texas; and Lisa Davis, Amarillo; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grand child.
