Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Glenda was born Jan. 10, 1941, in Holbert, Okla., to Ira and Lexie Wright. She worked as an operator at Maywood for 14 years and Amarillo Independent School District for two years. Glenda was a resident of Amarillo for 52 years and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lexie and Ira Earle Wright; her husband, James Braughton Sr.; a son, Jimmy Braughton Jr.; a sister, Gloria Morgan; and two brothers, Pete and Gerald.
Survivors include a son, Dale Braughton; a daughter, Shannon Braughton; a niece, Lisa Davis; a nephew, Gary Davis; six grandchildren, Coby Braughton, Heather Bruce, Maygen, Pagie and Trenton Davis and Chris Braughton; and three great-grandchildren, Bayleigh, Brilynn and Braxton Bruce.
