Earl A. Woodruff, 78, ofBeaverton, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 1995 at MidMichigan Regional MedicalCenter - Midland following a short illness. Born Sept 25, 1917 in Billings
Township, he resided in Gladwin County most of his life. Mr. Woodruff had been employed by Dow Chemical and Bay Pipeline in Bay City, where he was a pipefitter for 15 years until retiring in 1968.
He married the former Anne Hutek March 2, 1946 in Beaverton and she preceded him in death Oct. 3, 1995. Surviving are one son, Donald of Beaverton; 2 daughters, Sandra and husband Joseph Hottois of Auburn, and Darlene and Stephen Kanyo of Beaverton; 2 brothers, Howard Woodruff of Lake Arm, and Neal Woodruff of Gladwin; 5 sisters, Lila Erway of Gladwin, Nola Spencer of Beaverton, Wanda Smith of Gladwin, Blanche Wilson of Pinconning, and Doris Bock of Estey; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother. Jack Woodruff on May 20, 1987.
Rites were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin chapel with burial in the Billings Township Cemetery, Beaverton. A special graveside military service was conducted by the Gladwin County VFW Post 7303. Those planning an expressionof sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Billings Missionary Church.
