William^2 Woodbury was baptized in South Petherton, Someset, England, 7 May 1620, the son of William^1 Woodbury and his wife, Elizabeth Patch. He died after 22 November 1667; the Inventory of his estate taken 13 January 1668, and filed 31 March 1668. William^2 Woodbury was a mariner. He was a resident of Salem, Massachusetts at the time of his death, but the specifics of how and where he died are not known.

William Woodbury married at St. Dunstan's, Stepney, Middlesex, England, 17 April 1651, Judith Finne. She was baptized at St. Dunstan's 12 April 1629, the daughter of William and Mary (Chardwell) (Lofte) Finne. Following William Woodbury's death, Judith married again to John Rayment. She died in Beverly, Massachusetts, 31 October 1702.

William and Judith (Finne) Woodbury were the parents of eight children, three of whom are known to have survived to adulthood--Elizabeth Woodbury (married John Richards), Hannah Woodbury (married Mark Haskell) and Judith Woodbury (married Ephraim Herrick).
