Mrs. Margaret L. Wolfe Alpaugh, 91, of the Village of Karrville, NJ passed away on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the House of Good Shepard, Hackettstown, NJ. Born: Mrs. Alpaugh was born on August 12, 1921 in Easton, PA. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John F. and Christine H. Hay Wolfe. She was the granddaughter of the late Prothnotary and Mrs. Thomas. A. L. Hay. Personal: She is predeceased by her loving husband, Russell Alpaugh. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1939; The Edgewood Park Jr. College, Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. and The Philadelphia General Hospital School of Radiology, Philadelphia, PA. She had been employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and conducted chest surveys for TB throughout the state, and worked as an X-Ray technician for the Hanover General Hospital, Hanover, PA. She also had been employed by the late Dr. Ralph M. L. Buchanan, Phillipsburg, and the late Dr. George U. Pillmore of Easton. She also worked for the Northampton County TB Society when it was in Easton, PA. Memberships: She was the last active charter member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Washington, NJ, serving on the first church council and was the first financial secretary. She was a former member of the musical arts chorus of Easton, PA. Survivors: She is survived by a son, Richard and his wife Nancy of Mansfield, NJ; two granddaughters, Amy and Alyssa; and a grandson, Andrew. She is predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and Richard. Services: A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. till the time of service at 10 a.m. in the St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 214 State Route 31 North, Washington, NJ 07882. A burial will follow service in Easton Cemetery, Easton, PA. Memorials: Donations in Margaret's memory can be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 214 State Route 31 North, Washington, NJ 07882.
