He was employed for 28 years by Meridian bank in Norristown, Pa., retiring as a vice
president in April.
Born on Dec. 16, 1924, in Easton, he was a son of the late John Thomas Wolfe and
Christina Hay Wolfe.
He was a graduate of Wilson High School and received degrees from the University of
Pennsylvania and Rutgers University. He had resided in Lansdale since 1951.
He was a veteran of World war II, having served with the Navy in the Pacific.
During the 1960's, he served two terms as a Lansdale borough councilman and was the
treasurer of the Child development Center.
In the 1970's, he served as president of the Montgomery County Bankers Association.
He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Shiloh Lodge, the Damascus
Commandry and Lu Lu Temple, all in the Lansdale area.
He was the treasurer for St. Peter's Lutheran church in North Wales, Pa ., for about 10
years in the 1960's. He was the accountant for the vairous charity golf tournaments at
Whitemarsh Country Club, where he was a member.
His wife, the former Anna Mae Roach, died in March.
He is survived by a son, Christopher of Olympia, Washington, two daughters, Tina Lee Wolfe of Fort Pierce., Fla., and Barbara Bredrick of Fort Smith, Ark.; a sister, Margaret
Alpaugh of Oxford, N.J.; and three grandchilden.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Lutheran church in North Wales.
Interment will be Easton Cemetery. The Longenecker Funeral Ho me in North Wales is in
charge of arrangements.
