She was born December 6, 1885 in Mahoning Township, Armstrong County the daughter of Adam and Mary E. Holben Wells.
She was married to Harry G. Allen, who died in 1928. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Church of God in Distant.

25 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and two brothers, George Wells of Distant and Joseph Wells, of Creekside. One daughter preceded her in death.
Services were held at the Church of God on December 28, 1964 with the Rev. Jack Winland officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery, Distant. Arrangement were made by John E. Riess Funeral Home, New Bethlehem.
