OCEANA — Pina Leetha Webb-Bailey, 96, of Oceana, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 5, 2013, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV.
She was born December 11, 1916, in Olive Hill, KY to Freeman Melvin Webb (1893-1951) & Mary Elizabeth Boggs-Webb (1896-1918). She was a dedicated Christian and had attended and was a member of the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church for over 60 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Rev. Roy A. Bailey (1914-1979), whom she married on May 25, 1935 in Logan County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Logan County, WV, 1935, Line 2, Application Date: May 17, 1935); a son Otis Ray "Ottie" Bailey (1937-1992), a daughter Beulah Gay Bailey-Walker (1941-1998), an infant daughter Auderean Faye Bailey (Deceased), and three grandchildren Boe Walker (Deceased), Theresa Walker (Deceased) and Robin Canada (Deceased).
Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter Diana (John) K. Bailey-Mathis of Oceana; a son Denvil E. (Eva) Bailey of Disputanta, VA; a brother Harold Webb of Dayton, OH; grandchildren Timmy (Stephanie) Bailey, Terry Bailey, Kim (Homer) Perdue, Christa (Don) Bailey-Shutt, Angela Bailey-Monty; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; a cousin who was like a sister Earline Adkins of Wharton; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013, in the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Jackie Grimmett and Rev. Tim Brewster officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
