Faulkner B. Walling
Services for Faulkner B. Walling, 81, of Palestine will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine City Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
Mr. Walling died Sunday at Palestine Healthcare Center.
He was born March 4, 1925 in Monroe, La. to Ira Francis and Mary Swinney Walling.
Mr. Walling graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a chemical engineer and worked for the Bureau of Land Management. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Margaret Mahey Walling in 1986.
He is survived by his sister, Lena Phillips of Palestine, brothers, Cecil Ray Walling of Lone Pine, Jimmy Walling of Talaposa, Ga. and A.L. Kohler of Palestine; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Swann, Anthony Swann, Douglas Beggs, Danny Paul McCarter, Jay Coborn and Terry Walling.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
