Oxford Resident Is Killed By Car
Pedestrian Ellis Tims Accident Victim

Ellis W. Tims, 40 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Tims of Pequest Road, Oxford, was injured fatally on Wednesday night on Wall Street, Oxford, when he was struck by the automobile operated by Angelo Pollotti of Washington Avenue, Oxford. It was reported that the victim walked out into the street in the path of the automobile.
The injured man was carried into a nearby store where he was treated by Dr. S.S.Kimmel of Oxford, but he died 20 minutes after he was struck. County Physician Dr. Herman Baldauf of Belvidere, and Coroner James E. Angle of Oxford, viewed the body and ordered its removal to the funeral home in Great Meadows.
Tims, who never married, is survived by his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Lewis Buckenmeyer of Mountain Lake, and Mrs. Percy Smith of Bridgeville, and a brother, Lewis Tims of Johnsonburg.
